Integrating Spirituality and Psychology for Healing and Growth

Jon Heilner, M. Div., is a Lutheran minister, has been a member of the American Association of Pastoral Counselors for 17 years and is currently a Fellow in that association. He provides counseling for individuals, couples and families with the ability to address both spiritual and psychological issues within the counseling process. Jon uses various modalities in counseling depending on the person(s) needs, be it psycho-dynamic, cognitive, depth oriented or solution-based counseling. Jon is also certified as a Prepare-Enrich instructor for couples.
Spirituality is an integral part of every person-recognizing the worth and potential of each person. Many of the people he works with are victims of abuse, be it physical, sexual, emotional or ritual. Counseling is a journey in which a person, couple or family discovers who they truly are and can live out their new identity in a genuine and authentic way. He believes God's will for all people is, foremost, to know who they truly are, including their shadow self. Counseling leads to a sense of wholeness, from which intimacy and understanding of self and others can be more fully experienced.

Clinical Staff

Our clinical staff are licensed to practice by the State of Arizona and includes staff members who have advanced training in theology and pastoral counseling. In addition to being an institutional member of the American Association of Pastoral Counselors, we have several clinical staff who are members of the American Association of Pastoral Counselors.

Our clinical staff also provides services available through insurance plans. If you believe your treatment will be covered by your insurance, we encourage you to verify that the counselor you will be seeing is an authorized provider of services for your insurance plan. Although we are able to bill Medicare, at this time we are unable to bill Medicare HMOs.
